The family’s refusal to put down Loubo, Delon’s healthy 10-year-old Belgian Malinois, came after a massive outcry from animal rights activists, The Daily Mail UK reports.

The Guardian reveals that Delon told Paris Match magazine in 2018 that Loubo was his “end of life dog”.

He further expressed his love for the Belgian Malinois saying, “I’ve had 50 dogs in my life, but I have a special relationship with this one. He misses me when I’m not there.”

In the same interview, Delon told the magazine, “If I die before him, I’ll ask the vet to take us away together. He’ll put him to sleep in my arms. I’d rather do that than know that he’ll let himself die on my grave with so much suffering.”

The interview and Delon’s dying wish comes under the spotlight with his recent passing, once again drawing criticism from animal rights groups.

La SPA, a French animal rights organization, condemned his decision saying, “Before his death, he has expressed the wish to euthanize his dog, Luobo. However, the life of an animal should not be conditioned by that of a human.”

La SPA also volunteered to take in the dog and find him a forever family. However, after the outpouring criticisms, the French animal charity Brigitte Bardot Foundation reveals on Instagram, “Loubo, of course, will not be euthanized!”

They wrote, “”He has his own home and family,” the actor’s relatives who will take care of him confirmed to us.”

The actor passed away on Sunday, August 18, at the age of 88. And according to reports, Delon was buried at his Douchy home “in the strictest privacy” and no further details have been given by his family.

Lily Allen Receives Backlash And Mechanical Dog From PETA UK After Dog Revelation https://www.dogingtonpost.com/lily-allen-receives-backlash-and-mechanical-dog-from-peta-uk-after-dog-revelation/ https://www.dogingtonpost.com/lily-allen-receives-backlash-and-mechanical-dog-from-peta-uk-after-dog-revelation/#respond Wed, 28 Aug 2024 22:44:00 +0000 https://www.dogingtonpost.com/?p=74581 Lily Allen receives backlash and a mechanical dog from PETA UK after she recently revealed that she returned a dog she adopted because “it ate my passport and so I took her back to the home.”

The backlash came from social media users and has even reached People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) after the recent revelation on the “Miss Me?” podcast.

“She ate all three of our passports and they had our visas in and I cannot tell you how much money it cost me to get everything replaced because it was in COVID,” Allen said.

Allen reveals it was an ‘absolute logistical nightmare’ because she couldn’t take her kids to see their dad in England for about four or five months.

“I just couldn’t look at her — I was like, ‘You’ve ruined my life.’” she said on the podcast.

The singer-songwriter and actress also said that the dog was ‘very badly behaved’ and that passports weren’t the only thing she ate.

“I really tried very hard with her but it just didn’t work out and the passports were the straw that broke the camel’s back, so to speak.”

Social media users were quick to criticize Allen for her decision. One user from X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “why would you keep your passport near your dog and then blame the dog for doing dog stuff”.

Another user wrote, “do people not realize when they adopt animals that they are adopting an animal”

Furthermore, after PETA heard of the story, they sent Allen a letter calling out the singer on August 23.

In the letter, they wrote, “While you could get new passports and rebook your flights, Mary may spend many months in the shelter waiting for a new family – if she’s lucky enough to find one at all.”

They also wrote how it’s natural for dogs to explore the world by putting things in their mouths.

The animal rights organization wrote, “Couldn’t you have put your important documents in a drawer?”

In addition to the letter, PETA UK also sent Allen a mechanical dog toy, writing “Dogs should never be treated as accessories to be discarded when they become inconvenient. They are loyal companions who deserve the same unwavering love and commitment they offer us.”

PETA UK ‘begs’ Allen to not get another dog. They said, “Instead, we’re sending you a mechanical toy puppy, which requires none of the care, patience, or commitment that a real one does. It really is the only animal you should bring into your home.”

After the backlash she received, Allen wrote a lengthy clarification on X. She explained that the puppy, named Mary, developed separation anxiety and would act out in all manner of ways.

Allen wrote, “we worked with the shelter that we rescued her from and they referred us to a behavioral specialist and a professional trainer, it was a volunteer from the shelter who would come and dog sit her when we were away“.

“And after many months and much deliberation everyone was in agreement that our home wasn’t the best fit for Mary,” she continued.

She also reveals that Mary was rehomed within 24 hours of being returned and that the person who adopted Mary was someone they know.

“We couldn’t meet Mary’s needs and her happiness and welfare were central to us making that decision, as difficult as it was.”

Allen also expresses her frustration saying that the week has been ‘very distressing’. She wrote, “I’ve had rescue dogs pretty consistently throughout my life since I was 4 years old, I’m pretty good at ascertaining a dogs needs, I have never been accused of mistreating an animal”.

She ended her clarification by mentioning PETA saying, “Also thank you to @peta for adding fuel to the fire. Very responsible of you.”

However, PETA fired back on Allen saying, “YOU laughed when speaking about abandoning Mary and ruined this poor dog’s life. She thought she had a loving forever home before you tossed her out, calling her “that f******* dog” who “ruined my life.””

PETA ended their statement with, “Shame on you. You don’t deserve even the toy dog we sent you.”

After the revelation that Mary was quickly rehomed, social media users had divided opinions about the whole situation.

Some were saying that it was responsible of Allen to prioritize the dog’s needs. One X user wrote, “She responsibly rehomed a dog when she realised she would not be able to meet her dog’s very specific needs. No-one should be shamed for doing that. The needs of the dog come first, and Lily recognised that.”

However, some were still not happy about Allen’s actions about the whole ordeal. “You don’t give up on your animals. As soon as you take them in they are family. You don’t look any better for this,” one user wrote.

Kodi From The Movie ‘Dog On Trial’ Wins The Palm Dog Award At The 77th Cannes Film Festival https://www.dogingtonpost.com/kodi-from-the-movie-dog-on-trial-wins-the-palm-dog-award-at-the-77th-cannes-film-festival/ https://www.dogingtonpost.com/kodi-from-the-movie-dog-on-trial-wins-the-palm-dog-award-at-the-77th-cannes-film-festival/#respond Wed, 05 Jun 2024 12:00:00 +0000 https://www.dogingtonpost.com/?p=71766 Another star is born! This year’s recipient of the 77th Cannes Film Festival’s Palm Dog Award is Kodi, a Griffon mix from the movie “Dog On Trial”.

In the movie, directed by and starring Laetitia Dosch, Kodi was praised for his amazing performance for playing the role of Cosmos, a guide dog for a visually impaired man who literally goes to trial for biting a woman.

Kodi is the successor of Messi the dog, from the movie “Anatomy of a Fall”, who won the Palm Dog Award in 2023 and went on to enjoy super stardom.

However, unlike Messi, Kodi personally accepted his Palm Dog Award, which was a dog collar, during the award ceremony held at the beachfront on Cannes’ Coisette.

Talking about the 10-year-old rescue’s Palm Dog Award, Dosch tells AP News, “It’s talking about animal status and other beautiful parts that now dogs have on films and how scriptwriters, directors are interested in the place of animals in our society.”

Critic and jury member Anna Smith tells the Marianas Variety, “This film is very significant because it not only explores the bond between humans and dogs but it takes a satirical, comedic but quite profound look at the way that we domesticate dogs and the way that we relate to dogs, and the way our justice system relates to dogs.”

Other winners during this year’s Palm Dog Awards included Xin, the greyhound from the movie “Black Dog”, winning the Palm Dog’s Grand Jury Prize.

Furthermore, three prizes were also awarded for best “mutt moments” to:

  • Chippy from the movie “Megalopolis”
  • Dave from the movie “Bird”
  • And the dog ensemble of the movie “Kinds of Kindness”

The Palm Dog is the dog equivalent of Cannes Film Festival’s top prize. While it is not officially part of the film festival, it has been awarding amazingly talented pooches since 2001.

Kabosu, The Shiba Inu Behind The ‘Doge’ Meme, Dies At 18 https://www.dogingtonpost.com/kabosu-the-shiba-inu-behind-the-doge-meme-dies-at-18/ https://www.dogingtonpost.com/kabosu-the-shiba-inu-behind-the-doge-meme-dies-at-18/#respond Mon, 27 May 2024 12:00:00 +0000 https://www.dogingtonpost.com/?p=71650 Kabosu, the Shiba Inu behind one of the most popular Internet memes, crossed the rainbow bridge on Friday, May 24, at the age of 18.

The news of Kabosu’s passing was announced by her owner, Atsuko Sato, on an Instagram story that read “Kabosu is at rest now” with a link to a farewell post on her blog.

Kabosumama Instagram Story
Instagram: Kabosumama

Kabosu has been battling with a liver disease called acute cholangiohepatitis and chronic lymphoma leukemia since December 2022, as per her hooman.

In an Instagram post, Sato revealed that Kabosu crossed the rainbow bridge on the morning of May 24.

She also explained that the pooch died peacefully and without suffering, “as if falling asleep while feeling the warmth of my hands petting her.”

“I am certain that Kabosu was the happiest dog in the world,” Sato wrote while thanking everyone who loved her dog for all these years. “That makes me the happiest owner in the world.”

A farewell party for the beloved Shiba Inu was also held on Sunday, May 26, from 1 PM to 4 PM at a flower shop in Kotsu no Mori, Narita City called Flower Kaori.

As Kabosu crossed the rainbow bridge, she leaves behind her hooman, Atsuko Sato, and her two cat siblings, Tsutsuji and Ginnan.

Born in 2005, Kabosu was rescued by Sato from a puppy mill shutdown in 2008. Sato started posting about Kabosu enjoying life on her blog.

Original Doge photo

And thanks to Sato’s blog, Kabosu then went viral in 2013 after a photo of her from 2010 from the blog spread online and redefined the meme world.

The meme is a photo of Kabosu that is often accompanied by text in the Comic Sans font of broken two-word English phrases with “such amaze, much wow” as the most popular example.

Aside from the Doge meme, Kabosu also inspired and is the face of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency that was created by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer in 2013 as a joke.

While the cryptocurrency was started as a joke, it is currently the eight biggest cryptocurrency according to CoinMarketCap.

Not only that, but in 2023, a public monument was installed in Sakura, Chiba in honor of the dog. And earlier this year, a manhole cover with her famous Doge meme photo was installed in front of a snack shop in Sakura, just three minutes away from her monument.

Rest easy, Kabosu! You lived a life that was “such amaze, much wow” and your legacy will definitely live on.

Messi The Dog From The ‘Anatomy of a Fall’ Attends The 2024 Cannes Film Festival https://www.dogingtonpost.com/messi-the-dog-from-the-anatomy-of-a-fall-attends-the-2024-cannes-film-festival/ https://www.dogingtonpost.com/messi-the-dog-from-the-anatomy-of-a-fall-attends-the-2024-cannes-film-festival/#respond Thu, 16 May 2024 12:00:00 +0000 https://www.dogingtonpost.com/?p=71288 Someone with four legs and a wagging tail graced the 77th Cannes Film Festival red carpet on Tuesday, May 14.

Messi, the dog from the award-winning 2023 film “Anatomy Of A Fall”, walked up and down (and barked, might we add) the Cannes carpet on Tuesday.

The Border Collie strolled past lines of tuxedo-clad photographers calling out his name and clapping for him at the red carpet.

The VIP (Very Important Pup) walked up the stairs to the Palais des Festivals, sat and held his front paws up to pose, like the movie star that he is. He also didn’t forget to bark before walking down the stairs again!

But this isn’t the last time you’ll see him at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Because at the red carpet, Messi was seen carrying a camera stick in between his teeth, filming content for his TV series called “Messi: The Cannes Festival Seen from a Dog’s Point of View'”.

The show consists of eight one-minute-long episodes that will air daily on multiple French TV stations. And it has premiered on May 14 and will continue until the end of the festival on May 25.

The show will allow viewers to experience the Cannes Film Festival from dawn to dusk “through the eyes and the voice” of Messi.

France Télévisions wrote, “Messi will introduce us to the best of the best at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, but from a dog’s point of view.”

Aside from his red carpet videos, Messi will have access to the most exclusive corners of the festival to film interview with stars and behind-the-scenes footages.

And that was evidently shown on Monday, February 26, when he paid tribute to his best boy, a brindle Pit Bull named Dipper, who passed away a day before.

The emotional tribute struck a chord in everyone and helped raised $35,000 for Animal Haven, the rescue shelter where Steward got his beloved pooch 12 years ago.

In Stewart’s tribute to Dipper, he told the story of how he met Dipper about 12 years ago while raising money for Animal Haven with his children by selling cupcakes.

Stewart recalled, while trying to fight back tears, “As a little extra incentive, they brought out this one-ish year old brindle Pit Bull, who got hit by a car in Brooklyn, and lost his right leg.”

And ffrom that day forward, Dipper became part of Stewart’s family. In tears, Stewart said, “In a world of good boys, he was the best.”

The late night show host recalled his time with Dipper while doing ‘The Daily Show’. He said, “He used to come to ‘The Daily Show’ every day. He was part of the OG ‘Daily Show’ dog crew.”

Stewart continued, “And we’d come and tape and Dipper would wait for me to be done. He met actors and authors and presidents and kings. He did what the Taliban could not do, which is put a scare into Malala Yousafzai.”

After revealing that Dipper passed away, Stewart said, “He was ready. He was tired. But I wasn’t.”

“My wish for you is one day you find that dog, that one dog… It’s just… It’s the best,” Stewart concluded.

Stewart’s tribute to his best pal ended with a video of Dipper running around in the snow and having the best time of his life.

Following Stewart’s tribute to Dipper, Animal Haven posted about Stewart and Dipper, saying many of their staff remembers the bake sale where him and Dipper first met.

“Dipper went through so much early in his life after being hit by a car and losing his leg but Jon and his family gave him a brand new life that started unwittingly on that fateful day at Animal Haven selling cupcakes with his kids,” the animal shelter wrote.

Furthermore, they revealed that they are honored to receive such support in honor and memory of the pooch.

The animal shelter wrote, “Together, animal lovers and advocates have raised over $35,000 in Dipper’s name, and we cannot thank each and every one of you enough.”

And in honor of Dipper, Animal Haven even reduced their adoption fees by $100 throughout the month of March, “in hopes that we can fulfill Jon’s wish of helping you find “that one dog.””

And now, both Miss Peaches and Dave Portnoy are using their platform to help raise money for the Atlanta-based animal rescue that saved Miss Peaches, which is Lifeline Animal Project.

Miss Peaches has her own merch page on the Barstool Store website. And her collection includes an “Adopt Don’t Shop” hoodie and t-shirt with her face and name embroidered on both.

Barstool Sports reveals in a post the 100% of their profit from Miss Peaches’ collection will directly go to Lifeline Animal Project.

Portnoy tells Fox News, “We’ve been selling t-shirts. We’ve raised, actually, now about $150,000 for the organization that saves dogs.”

Following Miss Peaches’ shot to stardom, Portnoy shares that Miss Peaches’ Instagram page, which now has over 300,000 followers, is the fastest-growing Barstool social media account.

Portnoy tells Fox News, “We’ve been around for 20 years. Nobody has grown as fast [online] as Miss Peaches. She doesn’t even know she’s a superstar. She’s just the same old Miss Peaches.”

Her Instagram bio reads, “I went from the outhouse to the penthouse. Now I’m learning how to enjoy the finer things in life.”

The account documents Miss Peaches and Portnoy’s life together, starting from their first meeting on Valentine’s Day.

Lifeline Animal Project shares that Miss Peaches was originally named Dubai and she was one of the 27 dogs they rescued from a breeding case.

They said, “She came in from a neglect situation where we noticed she had patches of hair that were missing, itchy skin, and obvious signs of having multiple litters of puppies.”

Fortunately, a foster for Lifeline Animal Project stepped up and took care of the sweet pooch. And in less than three weeks, Miss Peaches showed signs of healing.

Now, ready to open a new chapter in her life, Lifeline Animal Project and Jet Wag Animal Rescue connected Miss Peaches’ foster family with Portnoy.

And on Valentine’s Day, Portnoy flew to Atlanta, and both him and Miss Peaches found their Valentine in each other.

With the adoption of Miss Peaches and the fundraiser for Lifeline Animal Project, Portnoy reiterates the important message to “Adopt. Don’t Shop” for those looking for a fur-ever companion.

“I’m a firm believer there’s no such thing as bad dogs, only bad owners,” he said.

Portnoy adds, “I love all dogs. With so many dogs, wonderful dogs like Miss Peaches are out there and need loving homes.”

If you’re looking to adopt a dog from Lifeline Animal Project, Miss Peaches’ foster sibling, Chestnut, is still up for adoption. You can check him and Lifeline’s other adoptable pets here.

And you can also support Barstool Sports fundraiser for the animal rescue by purchasing a Miss Peaches t-shirt or hoodie here.

Famous Pooch Steals The Show While Sitting Courtside At Lakers Game https://www.dogingtonpost.com/famous-pooch-steals-the-show-while-sitting-courtside-at-lakers-game/ https://www.dogingtonpost.com/famous-pooch-steals-the-show-while-sitting-courtside-at-lakers-game/#respond Tue, 26 Dec 2023 13:00:00 +0000 https://www.dogingtonpost.com/?p=63338 An 80-pound Goldendoodle turns heads and steals the show during the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks game at the Crypto.com Arena on Monday, December 18.

The Goldendoodle is a social media sensation! More popularly known as @BrodieThatDood on social media, this superstar has almost 15 million followers across all his platforms.

Aside from being a full-time good boy, Brodie is a basketball fan. And that’s why he was seen sitting courtside with his hooman, Cliff Brush Jr., during the Lakers-Knicks game on Monday night.

In a phone interview with LA Times, Brush recounts how his pooch stole the show, “A recurring theme we heard all night — from the announcers, the refs, the season-ticket holders who’ve been there for 20-plus years — everyone was saying they’ve never seen this before their entire life.”

“So it definitely seemed like a first. Maybe there’s been little dogs that people just don’t even notice, but you can’t miss Brodie,” he continued.

Brush confidently tells LA Times how good of a boy Brodie is during the game.

“As long as he’s with me, he’s gonna be well behaved and in control. Yeah, I don’t worry about him ’cause he’s a good boy.”

Proving Brodie’s superstardom, Brush said when they arrived at the arena, they had to be escorted by security to their seats, next to celebrity couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, because so many fans recognized the pooch.

Brodie had a very eventful night, to say the least! Other than sitting with fellow celebrities courtside, Brodie also received a shout-out and a high-five during pregame warmups by Josh Hart, Knicks’ shooting guard.

Brodie is a good boy, there’s no doubt about it. But did you know that he’s an even better dancer?

He was even named Fan of the Game after winning a dance-off against hoomans from the crowd, proving his amazing dance skills.

“By the end of the night, he was pretty much the king of the Jumbotron and running the arena,” Brush tells LA Times.

Last month, when Otani won his second American League MVP award, he was sitting on his couch with a dog beside him.

MLB posted a video clip of the pair on YouTube where you can see Ohtani high-fiving the dog after his win.

https://youtube.com/shorts/YX3bYswMI-E?si=FMF3z4wogD37W8O1

The caption even read, “The moment Shohei Ohtani found out he was a 2x unanimous AL MVP.”

Fans were curious about the dog, and rightfully so, the dog stole the spotlight and quickly became viral! However, nobody outside of Ohtani’s camp knew the dog’s name. And Ohtani himself declined to reveal the pup’s name.

But finally, during his Dodgers introductory press conference on December 14, Ohtani revealed the pooch’s name as “Dekopin”, a Japanese word that means flicking someone’s forehead.

But that’s not the only thing Ohtani revealed! He also disclosed that Dekopin has an English name: “Decoy”.

During his press conference, Ohtani reveals the choice to have an English name for his dog. He said through his translator, “I figured it would be hard for American people to pronounce it, so his American name is Decoy.”

Now that the mystery is solved, fans can expect to see more of Dekopin/Decoy at Dodger Stadium!

Rock Star Bret Michaels Adopts Blood Donor Dog With The Same Name As Him https://www.dogingtonpost.com/rock-star-bret-michaels-adopts-blood-donor-dog-with-the-same-name-as-him/ https://www.dogingtonpost.com/rock-star-bret-michaels-adopts-blood-donor-dog-with-the-same-name-as-him/#respond Fri, 03 Nov 2023 12:00:00 +0000 https://www.dogingtonpost.com/?p=61719 Bret Michaels, the frontman of the iconic rock band Poison, is making headlines for recently adopting a hero dog named after himself.

The hooman and doggo duo’s story started when the six-year-old Husky went viral for becoming a hero and donating blood to save a kitten’s life at the Nebraska Humane Society.

The Nebraska Humane Society posted Bret Michaels The Husky’s story on their Facebook page on Wednesday, October 18. They started the post with, “It’s not very often that our own dogs get a chance to be the hero!”

In the post, the animal shelter revealed that they were working on three kittens when they noticed that the third kitten had flea anemia.

“Our kitten couldn’t wait for testing to be done to determine a suitable feline donor, but veterinary science has a trick up its sleeve: canine blood can be transfused into felines.”

Thankfully, Bret had bloodwork done recently, and was a good candidate to donate.

The shelter revealed that while the blood transfusion was not permanent, it gave the kitten what it needed the most: time.

They wrote, “Soon after the first round of transfusion, little man [the kitten] started showing signs of improvement.”

The Nebraska Humane Society applauded the pup “for being such a calm and brave boy” and revealed that he was up for adoption and is still waiting for his forever home.

The post quickly went viral and garnered over 4,000 reactions, 2,000 shares, and 345 comments.

And on October 21, the Nebraska Humane Society posted an update on Bret. They revealed, “Well, word got around to THE Bret Michaels who loved the story and wanted to chat with us. One phone call later and guess who’s gonna be living the rock star life from here on out? That’s right!”

Rockstar Bret Michaels tell PEOPLE in an exclusive interview, “I could not have been more touched and more honored to adopt Bret Michaels the husky, knowing that he gave blood to save the life of a kitten.”

PEOPLE also revealed that Michaels’ decision to adopt the pooch came shortly after he lost his 14-year-old dog, Phoenix.

Michaels’ revealed that his namesake pooch’s story “brought a smile back into my family’s life.”

“We have always donated to incredible pet drives and charities, and will continue to [home] Bret Jr., who … has now found a loving family that also includes our two rescue shepherds, Nova and Draco,” he tells PEOPLE.

After adopting the hero dog, Michaels posted on his social media accounts, introducing the husky and calling him “li’l Bret Michaels”.

He also revealed that the kitten his namesake pup saved is named Roses & Thorn. And while li’l Bret Michaels found his forever home and will be living the rock star life, Michaels revealed that they’re still looking for a forever home for the kitten.

He wrote, “It takes a village of awesomeness & now I have a new mission…to find an incredible home for the kitten!”

Real-Life Dog Behind Red Dead Redemption 2 Dog Has Passed Away https://www.dogingtonpost.com/real-life-dog-behind-red-dead-redemption-2-dog-has-passed-away/ https://www.dogingtonpost.com/real-life-dog-behind-red-dead-redemption-2-dog-has-passed-away/#respond Thu, 29 Jun 2023 12:30:00 +0000 https://www.dogingtonpost.com/?p=57818 The animal motion capture actor for Cain the dog in the game Red Dead Redemption 2 has passed away, his owner confirmed.

The real-life canine for Cain, whose real name was Einstein Barnes, passed away at the age of 13 earlier this month.

Einstein’s owner, Jason Barnes, InXile Entertainment’s Animation Director and also a Red Dead Redemption 2 Senior Animator, shared the sad news on his Instagram.

In the heartwarming dedication to his best friend, Barnes described the canine as “truly one of a kind” and explained that his uncanny intelligence is what earned him the name Einstein.

“You were more than just a dog; you were a legend. Your intelligence and unwavering loyalty made you stand out above all other pups,” Barnes wrote. “Your spirit touched the hearts of all those who had the privilege of crossing paths with you. Your warmth and affection were boundless, and your love for life and play was infectious.”

Barnes continued saying, “Though our time together has come to an end, your memory will live on forever. Red Dead Redemption 2 may immortalize you as Cain, but it is the memories we created together that truly preserve your spirit.”

Barnes shared with PC Gamer that he first saw the dog as a puppy, then named Hero, at a shelter. He later renamed him Einstein and trained him as a service dog.

Einstein’s career as Cain’s animal motion capture actor began when he did a fitting to test the dog mo-cap suit. Barnes said, “he was known by all of the actors at this point and because of his service training, he was very used to sitting and waiting patiently which made him a perfect mo-cap dog.”

Because of Einstein’s casting as Cain, Barnes didn’t only work as one of the game’s animator but also as Einstein’s trainer on set.

“He was such a good boy. It’s incredible how well he did, even the actors were surprised,” Barnes said.

Though a minor character in the game, Red Dead Redemption 2 players probably remember Cain. He was a stray dog in the game who wandered and found a home in the Van der Linde gang’s camp at Clemens Point.
