KTEN reports that the duo were seen wandering together near Whitemound Woad when a neighbor spotted them.

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office revealed that they nicknamed the duo “Milo” and “Otis”, after the cat and dog duo who strayed away from their farm from the 1986 movie “The Adventures of Milo and Otis”.

Before they were reunited with their owner, the Sheriff’s Office revealed, “We’ve managed to corral them with a kind resident while we wait for Grayson County Animal Control to pick up Milo (the dog). Otis (the goat) will be heading to a local farm for safekeeping.”

Locals were quick to respond to the news of the duo getting separated. They pointed out that separating them will cause stress, especially to the Great Pyrenees.

One local wrote, “The dog and goat were over at my house 2 different days. One time with a pony. The dog is as sweet as can be, but doesn’t like to be separated from the goat.”

“That GP is doing his/her job 1000% – separating them will stress that poor dog and goat out,” another wrote.

However, thanks to the swift response of the local community, the duo were not separated and deputies were able to locate the owner of the duo, and therefore reunite them.

“Grayson County truly is a great place to live, where neighbors still look out for one another and lend a hand when it’s needed most. It’s moments like these that remind us how much people still care about people,” the Sheriff’s Office wrote.

In an interview with KTEN,  Cpl. Cory George reveals that the duo were wandering town together and going on adventures for three days before someone called the Sheriff’s Office to report them.

George revealed that responding to the report was an “odd call to go to”. He said, “I’ve been in law enforcement for about 14 years, and I have not seen that… that’s the first one.”

He also reveals, “We get a lot of loose livestock cows, but not a whole lot of dogs and goats stuck together. They were pretty inseparable like they were best friends.”

The Clearwater Threshers’ newest bat dog, 10-month-old yellow Labrador Lucy May, is the sister of the team’s previous bat dog, Layla.

And the pooch made sure her debut on Friday, August 23, was as memorable and messy as possible!

Videos of Lucy May’s debut have been going viral online. As a matter of fact, the video ESPN uploaded on TikTok has almost a million likes and 8.5 million views.

During her viral debut, Lucy May was sent to retrieve a bat. But instead, ran around the field and into the opposing team’s dugout.

After an unsuccessful attempt, Lucy May was sent back to the field to retrieve another bat. However, she went back to running around the field, but this time with a surprise!

It might be her inexperience or her first-day jitters! But Lucy May, instead of retrieving the bat, suddenly answered the call of Mother Nature on the field.

Fans were supportive of whatever duty Lucy May was performing in the field as the crowd started cheering for her.

After Lucy did her business, her owner, Andrew Davis got her back over to the Threshers’ dugout. Meanwhile, the team’s promotions and game entertaining manager, Dominic Repper, cleaned up after the pooch.

Andrew Davis, Lucy May’s owner, tells WTVT-TV, “When she squatted, I definitely went into panic mode.” He continues, “I think the word my fiancée and I used was ‘mortified.'”

“We kind of had a feeling that something special would happen with her and that it would be a fun event, but I don’t think we could have imagined that it would get taken to that level,” Repper said.

After the incident, the Clearwater Threshers defended Lucy May and ensured everyone that she is “1000% keeping her job”.

“Couldn’t be mad at this sweet face if we tried,” the team wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Lucy May is only 10 months old! She jumped into training when Layla had to step down, and even though she doesn’t have it quite right, she is 1000% KEEPING her job.”

The team also said, “She’s got lots of time until our home opener in April, and we know she’ll get it just right soon”.

On July 31, the Tulsa Fire Department released a video of the house fire that happened back in May, showing two dogs and a cat hanging out in the living room.

One dog can be seen bringing a lithium-ion battery pack with a cable attached to it on a dog bed and then proceeding to chew on it.

After a few moments of chewing, the dog gets startled when the battery started sparkling and then exploding in flames on the dog bed.

The dogs and the cat were startled and started panicking after the explosion. The two dogs can then be seen staring at the dog bed up in flames, before proceeding to bark at it.

The fire started to spread to the couch and the Fire Department revealed that the home was significantly damaged during the accident.

“Fortunately, the pets involved were able to escape unharmed through a dog door,” Tulsa Fire Department’s Public Information Officer, Andy Little, said.

He adds, “However, the outcome could’ve been much worse if there have been no means of escape or if the family was asleep at the time.”

The Tulsa Fire Department also used this opportunity to raise awareness on the dangers of lithium-ion batteries.

On the video uploaded by the Tulsa Fire Department, Little talks about the fires started by lithium-ion batteries and how they are “a critical issue that has been affecting fire departments across the United States”.

He proceeds to explain, “Lithium-ion batteries are known for storing a significant amount of energy in a compact space. However, when this energy is released uncontrollably, it can generate heat, produce flammable and toxic gasses and even lead to explosions.”

Little added that fires started by lithium-ion batteries can happen due to various reasons, including: exposure to extreme heat, physical damage to the battery, overcharging, and using incompatible charging equipment.

The Fire Department also wrote, “fire departments all over the country are seeing fires related to these batteries and we want the public to learn about usage, safe storage and proper disposal of these potentially dangerous batteries.”

Wild Thang emerged as the victor after eight dogs vied for the title at the 2024 Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, California on Friday, June 21.

For winning the contest, Wild Thang and his owner, Ann Lewis, receives a $5000 cash prize and a will be featured on a limited-edition MUG Root Beer can.

Wild Thang is a first-time winner and a 5-time World’s Ugliest Dog competitor. He placed second three times – in 2019, 2022, and 2023, before finally winning the contest this year.

“He was a fan favorite … he’s kind of like the bridesmaid and never the bride,” judge Fiona Ma told the Associated Press.

“He really tugged at our heart strings and deserved to win,” Ma continues.

Sonoma-Marin Fair’s site revealed the story of their World’s Ugliest Dog competition winner this year.

Wild Thang was born and raised in Los Angeles, but recently retired to North Bend, Oregon.

As a puppy, Wild Thang contracted distemper from a rescue foster. “He survived, but not without permanent damage,” Sonoma-Marin Fair revealed.

“His teeth did not grow in, causing his tongue to stay out and his right front leg paddles 24/7.  Other than that, he is a healthy, happy Glugly (glamourous/ugly) guy.”

The Sonoma-Marin Fair also reveals Wild Thang’s purpose in life –  “to promote the necessity of getting your pets vaccinated.”

Other than being glamourous, Wild Thang also has a GoFundMe account to his name to help his fellow Pekingese friends in the war zone in Ukraine find their forever homes and happily ever after.

Sonoma-Marin Fair’s site emphasizes that while the contest is fun and entertaining, it was never started to make fun of dogs.

They describe the World’s Ugliest Dog contest as a “world-renowned event celebrates the imperfections that make all dogs special and unique.”

“The contest speaks to the importance of advocating for the adoration of all animals and the benefits of adopting,” the Sonoma-Marin Fair explains. “Many of the contestant dogs have been rescued from shelters and puppy mills, to find loving homes in the hands of those willing to adopt.”

Other winners included the Rome, the 14-year-old, one-eyed pug who placed second and People’s Choice winner, Daisy Mae from Lafayette, California, Mochi the Chihuhua-Jack Russell Terrier mix, and Poppy the Chinese Crested Dog.

With this program, the East Hampton Public Library will forgive the fees of their patrons’ lost or damaged items in exchange of dog photos for the whole month of May.

And don’t worry! According to the Library, the dog on the photo don’t have to necessarily be yours!

“Show us a picture of your neighbor’s dog, your best friend’s dog, or just any dog you think is cute! Don’t have a camera or a phone? Draw us a picture of a dog,” the Library wrote.

The photos can also be shown in person to any library staff member, or sent to their email address.

You can also let them know if you’d like them to post the dog photo you submitted on their community pet board.

Here are the rules laid out by the Library in order to participate in their fee forgiveness program:

• The fee for one item only will be waived per patron
• The lost or damaged item must be owned by East Hampton Public Library only
• Item waived must be lost for at least 2 months or longer
• The program is applied to lost books, DVDs, and CDs only. No other item is included in this program aside from these three.
• Items are not guaranteed to be waived, and forgiveness will be given at the discretion of library staff
• Account holders must be present

According to the Library, they were inspired by the Worcester Public Library’s fee forgiveness program from March of this year.

The program was called “March Meowness” and the library’s patrons had their library fees forgiven in exchange for showing their library staff a cat photo.

The Library also said that they understand that accidents can happen and that they don’t want that to stop people from coming to the Library.

Christine Cachuela, East Hampton Public Library Director, told NBC News, “I just kept thinking it was such a wonderful way to bring patrons back to the library who might feel like they can’t come and enjoy our services, because they owe us for a book or a DVD or something that got damaged.”

The story went viral after the groom’s uncle took a video of Pancakes fulfilling his mission as a ring bearer, adorably and enthusiastically, might we add.

In the video, the officiant can be seen asking, “Who has the rings?”, and as if on cue, Pancakes runs down the aisle, with his tail wagging, and a crowd telling him that he’s a good boy.

Of course, Pancakes made sure to dress up for the occasion and was wearing a black, tuxedo-like jacket.

The guests were also seen in the video helping Pancakes by guiding him and pointing at the direction of the altar, to the bride and groom.

The goodest boi couldn’t hide his enthusiasm until the very end of his mission, as the bride seems to have had a hard time trying to get the rings out of Pancakes’ jacket.

The video is now viral (rightfully so) and Internet users were in absolute aww of Pancakes (as we all should be!)

Many users couldn’t get enough of Pancakes’ cuteness with one even calling the pooch her “fave ring bearer of them all”.

Some users also went to say that dogs should always be included in weddings because they make everything adorable. One user said, “My kind of wedding 👏 absolutely adorable ❤️”.

“My dog was one of two bridesmaids (I was the other one) at my parents’ wedding two years ago and I can confirm dogs should always be included in weddings,” another one wrote.

Meanwhile, some users are sharing how their dogs would never be able to pull off what Pancakes did at the wedding. One user quipped, “My dog is peeing on the first bench he finds”.

Molly the Magpie became a social media sensation after befriending a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Peggy. Together, they share social media accounts named “Peggy & Molly” with over 2 million followers combined.

Through their joint social media account, Internet users were able to see the odd yet beautiful friendship that both animals shared for the past four years.

However, this all came to a halt on March 26 when Peggy’s owners posted a video announcing that they have surrendered Molly to the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation (DESI).

In the video, Wells explained, “We had to surrender Molly to the DES – Department of Science and Innovation – as we had a small group of people constantly complaining to them.”

A spokesperson for DESI said in a statement that the bird has been “illegally” taken from the wild and is being kept with “no permit, license or authority”.

The spokesperson added, “Animals in rehabilitation must not associate with domestic animals due to the potential for them to be subjected to stress and the risks of behavioral imprinting and transmission of diseases.”

However, fans of the animal duo were not happy with this. One user wrote, “Who complains about a perfectly happy wild animal that has domesticated itself!”

While another said, “Heartbreaking 💔 This is a classic example of bureaucracy over common sense and humanity. Our tax-payer funded departments should be using their resources to help out the community and save mis-treated wildlife, not harm them!!”

The dog and bird’s separation was the talk of the town. And people even started a petition to reunite them that garnered over 155,000 signatures.

However, on April 15, DESI released a statement saying they have returned Molly to her family and has approved a specialized license to the family.

“Independent expert veterinary advice has shown that Molly, who was surrendered to the department on 1 March, is highly habituated and may have developmental issues, meaning it can never be rehabilitated or returned to the wild,” DESI’s statement read.

Peggy and Molly’s owner shared the good news on social media and said, “It was a very exciting reunion at the Dept this morning for us with a little cry of happiness from Molly.”

The couple also shared a glimpse of Molly’s first 24 hours back home with the family. The video’s caption read, “Molly has had a few baths and played with his faithful sloth toys with Peggy and Ruby never too far away.“

In 2021, Juliette Wells and Reece Mortensen, Peggy’s owners, revealed to 7News that they rescued Molly when she fell from a nest in a tree as a baby.

Wells said, “Reece knelt down to see if the bird was OK, and she ran up his arm and rested on his shoulder.”

The couple nursed the bird back to health and took care of the Magpie. And from there, Molly and Peggy’s friendship blossomed.

According to reports, the owner and his family lives in Kamchatka, Russia and their Husky went missing after running away from home.

Desperate to find his pet dog, the owner used a drone to help locate his pooch. And to his surprise, he found his dog, hanging out with three bears.

The video has since gone viral on social media and has been reposted several times. On Instagram, it was uploaded by user sailorjerrithedogtrainer and has amassed almost 2 million likes and over 10,000 comments.

The video, with a text insert that says “Owners were using a drone to find their missing husky. He was chilling with wild bears”, shows the dog trailing behind the bears, playing with one of them, and running around the forest with them.

Users online found the whole ordeal hilarious. One user said, “The one bear shoved him like go the hell home dude.”

Another user found the encounter cute and interesting and said, “This is so cute, bears are solitary so this is 100% a mother with cubs and it’s adorable how she let the dog stay and play around without mauling it to death. Very interesting to say the least.”

While others were worried how the owner was able to rescue and get his dog back. “How do you even go about getting your dog back???” one user wrote. While another said, “I really need to know how they were able to get their dog back!”

While the encounter was interesting and cute to users, the outcome remains unknown. There have been no reports about the Husky’s current situation — if it was rescued and returned home or if he ventured off into the wilderness with his new bear family.

According to a Reddit post, after the flight diverted, the ground crew spent over 2 hours cleaning the carpets with paper towels.

“The smell never quite went away. First class toilet declared unusable as the dog mess was apparently unresolved in there,” the post read.

The Reddit user, James Hobbs, tells PEOPLE that the people on the flight were given masks and alcohol masks to sniff, due to the strong smell, which made Hobbs “ill”.

Hobbs said the dog excrement was “a very liquid form” and that it was in several places in the aisle, with some even getting on a passenger’s shoe.

In a Reddit comment, Hobbs commended the cabin crew for handling the situation. “Cabin crew was very upset as they tried to represent passenger needs. Accolades to cabin crew who performed very well,” he wrote.

Hobbs added that the food on the flight went bad while they were on ground, and there were only very few snacks left.

He said, “It was a bad situation for passengers, the dog, and that poor owner.”

Furthermore, Hobbs reveals that gate agents kept on yelling at passengers and the cabin crew. He said, “The yelling was a gate agent of some kind who came aboard and yelled at passengers to sit down who were just trying to get away from the smell of the cleaning activities.”

PEOPLE shared that United Airlines confirmed that the incident really did happen.

According to United‘s website, cats and dogs travelling with their owners must be put inside a pet carrier that fits under the seat, and that the only pets allowed without a carrier inside planes are service animals.

Reddit users slammed irresponsible dog owners who bring their dogs to flight, only to cause problems like this.

One user wrote, “All animals need to either be in a crate or in the cargo hold. Only service animals should be for the blind. You don’t need an “emotional support dog” for a freaking plane ride.”

“The “dog lover” crowd has completely destroyed the credibility of service animals. If it’s not a legit service animal, then it must be in a crate under the seat. Sooooo, I’m really hoping that if this was a non-service animal, the owner is held liable for the full costs incurred,” another user wrote.

After escaping, the dogs ran excitedly inside the shopping mall located in the Guangdong province in southeastern China.

CCTV footage shows the excited and happy dogs running around the mall, having a taste of temporary freedom and ignoring the staff trying to round them up.

The South China Morning Post reports that the incident happened on March 12, Tuesday when the owner visited the cafe.

The manager of the cafe explained that the dogs haven’t seen the owner for a few months, and they got very excited and rushed to her once they saw her.

Coincidentally, a customer arrived at the same time, and forgot to close the door, which the dogs took as a cue to run away.

Thankfully, staff members were able to round up all of the Huskies.

The South China Morning Post said that one female staff ushered some of the Huskies back to the cafe while another staff member, surnamed Huo, scooped up the rest in his arms, two at a time.

Huo told Xigua Video, “To ‘punish’ the disobedient Huskies, we gave them delicious chicken legs.”

The story is going viral and people online find the story amusing. One person left a comment on a video of the Huskies running and said, “Which mall is this? When will they escape again? I’m in! This looks so much fun.”

Another person had a brilliant idea saying, “The pet cafe can collaborate with the mall to let the Huskies run in a designated route. This can turn the mall into a new popular spot!”

“Hahaha, it feels like the joy of pupils running out of a school,” while another quipped.

On February 20, St. Petersburg Police Department posted on Facebook saying, “All it took was an open car door for these 3 adorable German shepherds to jump into a stranger’s car on Kingston Street South today.”

Kendra Clark then left a comment under the police department’s post revealing that it was her car that the three naughty pooches took hostage.

“OMG this will forever be my nightmare,” Clark wrote in a separate Facebook post.

The mom went on Facebook Live recording the whole encounter with the dogs. She reveals that she left her car door open while dropping her daughter off at day care. And that was when the three dogs invited themselves inside the car.

Talking to WTSP, Clark said, “As soon as I said, ‘Don’t get in my car,’ they jumped in there.” 

Clark also reveals that before calling the police, the staff at her daughter’s day care tried to lure the dogs out with food, but they just didn’t move.

The police department reveals that the driver wasn’t too pleased with the dogs, which was completely understandable.

“So our officers stepped in, coaxed the dogs out of the vehicle, and gave them a lift to Pinellas Animal Urgent Care until the owner was located and took them home,” the police department reveals.

In a separate Facebook Live, Clark said she couldn’t believe that the dogs jumped into her car and held her car “hostage”.

After the incident, Clark also said that she makes sure all her doors are closed now all the way.

“My kids got out I said, ‘uh uh y’all go make sure them doors closed’ My daughter said, ‘it is closed’ I said, ‘no go check again, [we might] wake up in the morning and might find something in there like a dog’.”

A Facebook user reveal that this isn’t the first time these three naughty German Shepherds jumped into a random stranger’s car.

“They jumped in my son’s car a couple of years ago. He brought them home and we tracked down the owner. I babysat them till he came and picked them up. They are overly friendly dogs,” the user wrote.

The senior dog disappeared from his owner’s, Milwaukee resident Jenny Hazarad, backyard on the night of January 24 and was found in the unlikeliest place.

Hazard said Bear always loved adventures. She tells FOX 6, “When he was younger, he was a runner.” But she didn’t expect for her senior pooch to go back to his ways!

Hazard recounts the story to FOX 6, “It was kind of just getting dark. I was outside with all three dogs.” But then suddenly, “I am looking and where’s Bear?”

Hazard then sees an open gate and the elderly pooch nowhere to be found. “After about 15 or 20 minutes I was just in tears. Because he’s old, he’s got a heart condition.”

“He can’t go far in snow … Where could he have gone, right?” she added.

And so the search for Bear began. The senior pooch’s owner turned to social media and asked people to be on the lookout for Bear.

“We get a text. They said – your dog is down at Finks. I’m like what? (laughs)” Hazard said. 

FOX 6 reports that a friend of a friend sent the photo of Bear having the time of his life at the bar to Hazard.

The bar, Finks Bar (1875 N. Humboldt Avenue), is a mile away from Bear’s home.

After receiving the photo of Bear, Hazard felt a mix of relief and confusion. “What’s he doing at a bar?” she tells PEOPLE.

As it turns out, a group of barhoppers who were on their way to Finks scooped the pooch up off the street and brought him along.

Hazard said, “They took good care of him, and I guess he was pretty popular.”

After tagging a long with a group of barhoppers and having a night out, Bear is back at home, safe and sound.

Hazard jokes, “Old man breaks free — goes to bar”, describing Bear’s adventure.
